The coffee bean has a name, an origin and a value. It is selected, graded, roasted and celebrated.

The coffee fruit it grows in is usually removed before anyone even asks about it.

If you compare our society to a coffee plant, there is a great deal that is seen, shared, said and decided. But there is just as much that goes unseen, unshared and unsaid — and decisions that ought to be made but never become a topic at all.

Our society tends to look at what is already visible: known names, big stages, successful stories. We hear less about those who are still at the beginning, who work in the background, who have failed, who have started again, or whose needs have so far been given little room.

“The other half of the story” gives people and projects exactly that room. Every month. Month after month.
